Install SOLAR PANELS on your ROOF or ground-mounted on your property.  Earn FEDERAL Investment Tax CREDITS of $2,000 to 30% of the cost for systems installed and "IN SERVICE"* by December 31, 2008 and Solar Renewable Energy Certificates known as SRECs. Because of the scheduled expiration of the Investment Tax Credit on December 31, 2008, we have initiated a deadline of November 29, 2008 for completion of any system for which the owner desires a tax credit.  Systems that cannot be completed on time will not have ample time to receive all necessary approvals to qualify for the tax credit.
New Jersey has begun a program in conjunction with PSE&G to provide loans to ALL BUT RESIDENTIAL APPLICANTS and has ended the rebate plan for new applicants in all categories.  Those applicants who have been in the queue will receive funding for their projects under the terms that were in effect at the time of their application if they are selected before funding runs out again.

OUR STARTER SYSTEM IS 3 Kw

We will install a solar powered electricity generating system using 3060 watts of Sharp Solar Panels, a Xantrex GT 2.8 Inverter, full mounting racks and isolation switches on an inclined roof facing South for as little as$25,857  complete.  See ANSWERS page and ECONOMICS page for more details.

Larger systems and Commercial installations with larger Federal Tax Credits are available as well.

We installed a 3006 watt system on a home in Ringwood, NJ on 16 August 2005.  One year later, on 16 August 2006, the meter read 3159 kWh.  19 July 2007 the meter is at 6145 kWh.  17 July 2008 the meter is 9424. The cost per kWh using our local Electric Company is now $.1825 per kWh .  At this rate, this rooftop system has produced $1719.88 worth of electricity and about $4947 in Renewable Solar Energy Credits.   $6667!  That is about  $190 per month.  This is the kind of return you can expect if your location is mostly unshaded.  Production would have been higher if some overhanging trees had been removed earlier and in fact there are still overshadowing trees to the West that cannot be removed due to tree removal ordinances. (check with your local officials)

  •  The Ringwood array of solar panels is 22 x 13 with a 2 foot walkway between rows into which snow can slide.  The system could have been made to fit in a 22 x 9 foot space without the rows.  It is possible to install a bigger system that will produce more power depending on the size of your roof. We can install panels on a roof that faces East or West, but the most efficient systems face South.   The panels make the electric meter run backwards when the demand in the house is less than the production.  When that happens, the owner is selling power to the electric company at the same rate that the Company charges.

* IN SERVICE is a phrase in the Federal Tax Code that denotes the date a piece of equipment is actually used for the first time.  In the case of a solar electric generator, we think it means the date that the system is approved for start up by the Utility Company.
